Repair procedures ensure that repairs are performed safely, consistently and in accordance with applicable engineering standards, regulatory requirements and organizational practices.
Repair Procedures provide standardized instructions for restoring damaged assets to an acceptable condition for continued service.
Repair Procedures commonly reference applicable engineering standards, welding procedures, inspection requirements, quality controls and verification activities necessary to demonstrate the integrity of the completed repair.
A Repair Procedure defines how a repair is to be performed, whereas a Repair Recommendation defines what repair is required and why.
