A Process Hazard Review (PHR) is a structured engineering review conducted to confirm that identified process hazards, recommended safeguards and associated actions have been appropriately evaluated and addressed before a project progresses or significant operational changes are implemented. It provides assurance that process safety requirements have been adequately considered within the decision-making process.
Process Hazard Reviews verify that identified process safety issues have been appropriately addressed before implementation or operation.
Process Hazard Reviews are commonly performed at key project milestones, following Process Hazard Analyses or during Management of Change activities to verify the satisfactory resolution of identified hazards.
