Equipment Tag

Alias of Asset Tag used to uniquely identify a physical asset.

Definition

Equipment Tag is a commonly used industry term describing the unique identifier assigned to a physical item of equipment for engineering, operations and maintenance purposes. Tags are used consistently across drawings, asset registers, maintenance systems and operational documentation.
