A Piping and Instrumentation Diagram Index (P&ID Index) is a controlled register that identifies and manages all Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams associated with a project or facility. It records drawing numbers, titles, revisions, status and other administrative information to support document control, engineering coordination and lifecycle management.
The P&ID Index provides the authoritative register for managing Piping and Instrumentation Diagram documentation.
The P&ID Index supports engineering change control, document retrieval, revision management and configuration management by maintaining a complete inventory of controlled P&ID documents.
