A VisualAIM platform business object used to categorize Inspection Findings according to engineering, integrity or business-defined classification schemes.
Within the VisualAIM platform, Finding Classification assigns Inspection Findings to one or more predefined categories that support engineering evaluation, reporting, workflow management and analytics. Classifications may represent defect types, damage mechanisms, inspection outcomes, integrity categories or other organization-defined engineering taxonomies.
Finding Classification categorizes Inspection Findings to support consistent engineering evaluation, reporting and analysis.
Finding Classification schemes are configurable and may reflect industry standards, organizational practices or asset-specific engineering requirements.
Finding Classification categorizes the nature of an Inspection Finding, whereas Finding Priority determines the urgency with which it should be addressed.
