A VisualAIM platform business process used to confirm that the actions associated with a Recommendation have been completed satisfactorily before formal closure.

Definition

Within the VisualAIM platform, Recommendation Verification is the formal process of confirming that the actions associated with a Recommendation have been completed in accordance with the approved engineering intent and that sufficient objective evidence exists to support formal closure. Verification may include engineering review, inspection, testing, document review or other organization-defined acceptance activities.

Why It Matters

Recommendation Verification confirms that corrective actions have been completed satisfactorily before Recommendations are formally closed.

In Practice

Recommendation Verification provides the evidence supporting Recommendation Closure and contributes to the overall Closure Verification process for the originating Non-Conformance Record.

Common Misuse

Recommendation Verification confirms that a Recommendation has been satisfactorily implemented, whereas Recommendation Closure represents the formal completion of that Recommendation within the VisualAIM platform.
