NFPA — National Fire Protection Association

The organization responsible for developing consensus codes and standards relating to fire prevention, electrical safety and life safety.

Definition

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is an international standards organization that develops and publishes consensus codes and standards relating to fire protection, electrical systems, hazardous materials and life safety. NFPA standards are widely adopted by governments and industry to reduce fire risks and improve public and industrial safety.
